1. Police Station addition & remodeling in Bolingbrook: ZCORP worked as Construction Manager on 25000 square feet of addition and 15000 square feet of phased remodeling for the Bolingbrook Police Facility, without interrupting any ongoing emergency response or 911 processing, personnel or prisoner processing, or any of the other day-to-day activities. Excavation for the addition required complex retention and support systems to reach fifteen feet below existing adjacent foundations and roadways. The state of the art 911 & radio communications center installation was coordinated with Will County professionals and installed fully operational when scheduled. Phased re-programming & remodeling of existing space was performed so as not to interrupt or violate the security of ongoing police operations.
2. Bolingbrook Golf Course Clubhouse: This project is a stone & cedar, 72,000 square foot building providing a first class country club style facility with the services of a health club, restaurant & tavern, "white table cloth" dining and event center, as well as a full service golf facility. The facility is regularly used for weddings, fund raising events, entertainment, and private parties. Each of the three levels has its own kitchen, and the grade level grill comes complete with bar, dinning room, and several flat screen televisions for customer viewing.
3. New FAA Tower at O'Hare: This project for the Federal Government was the largest control tower in the world when constructed. Located in the midst of existing terminals and constructed without disrupting any airport services, despite the extremely deep and complicated foundation-laying process. The work required relocation and installation of fiber optic communications, as well as main feeds for electric, plumbing, and other support services. The tower is topped with a very sensitive and protected radar detection facility.
4. Clow Airport Hangars in Bolingbrook: This design & build project included new infrastructure to service newly constructed airplane hangars. The site work included new electric, water, gas, and storm & sanitary sewers. The hangar building included a series of 50 x 50 Erect-A-Tube structures with custom fabricated motorized overhead doors for the planes. The hangar building is heated, exhaust ventilated, and includes full service restrooms.
5. Clow Airport Museum in Bolingbrook: ZCORP remodeled an existing airplane hangar to build out the space for the Illinois Aviation Museum. Work included demolition of portions of the hangar and build outs for classrooms, offices, restrooms, a clean shop area for restorations, and a lunchroom. New HVAC and plumbing service was also required for this conversion.
6. New Synthetic turf field at Great Lakes Naval Station: This project entailed removal of existing natural grass and the installation of a new field storm management system. This meant placing a drainage panel system under the newly installed synthetic turf field. The completed field provided a tournament approved softball surface that can be converted to youth baseball & soccer field uses.
7. New Play Ground in Americana Estates Bolingbrook: This project included excavation, grading, and installing curbs & foundations for a new playground that utilized safety playing surface covering.
8. Historical Farmhouse Museum in Bolingbrook: This project included designing and constructing a new foundation for an old historic farmhouse that was moved and left on cribbage until it could be set into place in its new location. The structure is used as an interactive historical museum.
