1. Bolingbrook Community Center: This project entailed the conversion of an existing church and gathering facility into the Bolingbrook Community Center, a facility that accommodates local business organization, child day care service, youth and counseling services, classroom and seminar rooms, computer lab teaching suites, and general event areas and service. The conversion process entailed demolition of several existing areas, including opening the west side walls in order to provide views and access to the newly landscaped patio areas. A wooden bridge connects this highly used facility with the Village campus.
2. Northwestern University School of Education: This project entailed constructing a structural steel frame, with precast concrete exterior walls, fully clad with limestone panels. This precast exterior wall & cladding system allowed construction to continue throughout the winter months without jeopardizing the quality of the highly finished interiors.
3. Monroe Grade School in Hinsdale: This project was completed to provide additional classroom space for students being taught in portable units. The new addition matched the existing building while providing more advanced facilities.
4. Prospect Elementary School in Hinsdale: This project provided additional space, remodeling, and site reconfiguration to allow for more classrooms, administrative rooms, and smoother student circulation.
5. Plainfield High School in Plainfield: The project provided a Y-shaped facility, allowing one wing dedicated to classrooms, one to physical education & fine arts, and one to administration. The design enhanced security while also offering enhanced control over noise and other distractions.
6. University of Chicago Whitman Lab renovations: This project required extensive interior demolition of an existing classroom building to allow for the detailed build out of five laboratories. The laboratories each had different requirements including, special ventilation, hood requirements, chemical disposal, and/or combustible gas and air storage.
