1. VanBuren Timber building renovation & build out: ZCORP removed all existing interior partitions, HVAC, plumbing, electric, interior docks, stairs, etc., and and stripped the existing timbers for a clear, final finish. In addition to several office build outs and new restrooms, one of the suites was built out into an Amcor Bank complete with bullet proof protection, new store front curtain wall & entry, new canopy, new electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, and new finishes & interior offices and suites.
2. New NAR Trademark Steel Arch:ZCORP provided the designer and constructed
the new trademark arch at the top of the National Associating of Realtors building
on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. This project required installation of structural steel
reinforcement above ceilings in existing suites to support the sub frame for the massive
stainless steel and lacquered arch-wing that rests at the front edge of the fourteen story
NAR national headquarters building on north Michigan Avenue.
3. Re-clad marble columns at NAR Building: This project included removing the
existing marble cladding from the fifteen story concrete columns, structurally repairing
sub columns, and installing new three inch thick granite panels. Work required
installation of pedestrian canopies, several sets of suspended stages, and off-hour
servicing for this project located on one of Michigan Avenue's busiest addresses.
4. Center curtain wall re-cladding: ZCORP provided the structural design and constructed the new curtain wall system at the center of the National Association of Realtors headquarters building on north Michigan Avenue.
5. CCIM office build out: One of many "gut & remodel" office build out projects performed
by ZCORP, this project included an expedited & removal of
existing finishes and partitions and a build out of the office suite to accommodate the
specific use of the new tenant
6. Erie timber office building: ZCORP provided demolition and build out services
for several office suites in the building, including a jewelry store, a national awards
headquarters, and a national insurance offices.
7. Land Rover dealership renovate & remodel: ZCORP remodeled the show room and
offices of the dealership in order to accommodate new customer consulting modules,
and we also fabricated new fixtures in our millwork shop to match existing ones at the
dealership. This work also included adding a new employee kitchen & lunchroom, as
well as relocating the customer convenience center.
8. BMW dealership sales center: ZCORP provided demolition and remodeling for a new
customer sales center that was custom designed and fabricated in ZCORP's millwork
shop. This project required work to be performed during regular working hours without
disrupting ongoing business.
9. Replace north plaza at 430 N. Michigan Avenue: ZCORP removed the existing
surface of the plaza and replaced it with a new, granite surface. We also granite clad the
curbs of the adjacent Michigan Avenue sidewalk.
10. Michigan Avenue granite planter: ZCORP formed and poured a new concrete
planter, cladding the structure with new granite and new stainless steel trim and railing.
11. Morton Salt riverside retaining wall replacement: This project required replacement
of 125 feet of 12 inch thick concrete retaining wall adjacent to the Chicago River.
ZCORP designed & constructed a new wall after previous concepts proved too
complicated and costly. ZCORP's licensed structural engineer's design provided for
cutting and removal of the existing wall while utilizing the lower remaining portion as
foundation. The new, battered, poured-in-place wall was "tied" to the existing foundation.
Additional work was performed to restore other retaining wall structures as well as the 10
inch thick yard surface.
